He finished elementary school and mechanic technical high school in Prijedor. He graduated from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at Banja Luka University, where he obtained a diploma of graduated mechanical engineering. He is married and a father of three children.

Whilst an active mechanical engineering, Mr. Đaković performed jobs at Ljubija iron ore Mine and Central Heating Plant Prijedor as well as other responsible jobs such as: secretary of the Secretariat for War Veterans Issues in Prijedor municipality, deputy minister for War Veterans and Victims of War at the Government of Republic of Srpska, a member of the National Assembly of Republic of Srpska, a member of local parliament in the Municipal Assembly of Prijedor, director of the Society of Investment Funds Management "BORS Invest" Banja Luka.
Of the certificates, he has passed the exam for investment managers before Securities Commission of Republic of Srpska. He is the President of the Alliance for Sitting Volleyball of Republic of Srpska.

He has been a member of the Democratic Peoples Alliance since its establishment and currently is the President of the City Organization of the Democratic Peoples Alliance of Prijedor. He is a member of the Main Board of the Democratic Peoples Alliance.

He was elected as mayor deputy of Prijedor municipality on Sept. 30th, 2009 in two mandates. During this eight year-long mandate as deputy mayor of municipality/mayor he gave an important contribution and support to programs of development of the municipality/city of Prijedor as a local community with focus on improvement of young people position but also for population that still lives with consequences of the last war.

He became the Mayor of Prijedor in 2016.

The Mayor sees the future development of the City in continuing the policy of development, stability, safety and nourishing the good relations between the citizens.
The top priority of this policy is to create good conditions to attract foreign investors ad employment.
The complete organization of the City Administration will be committed to this goal. In efforts to sort out the issue of unemployment, the Mayor is in contact with interested investors on a daily basis to whom he is at a full disposal to all questions that future investors may have.

During his mandate as the Mayor, the City of Prijedor has been one more time recognized as the city of future by eminent financial magazine "Financial Times" London. Prijedor got this recognition in two out of the five fields in which, inter alia, have been evaluated European micro local communities up to 100.000 inhabitants. This prestigious recognition acknowledges the fact that Prijedor is a city of development and friendly business environment showing that the City is moving towards the development. All is this is a good recommendation for future investors.

During his mandate as the Mayor in 2017, after supervisory checking of BFC certificate/ the Seal of quality for business friendly environment that was conducted in the City Administration including the crucial criteria defining the development and project management, the City of Prijedor got a positive report that refers to the quality of business by investors demands. The framework of this supervisory checking were the local development and infrastructure projects aimed at checking the upgrade of this standard which is only some strategic goals of the vision of the Mayor. Supervisory checking confirmed the progress the City made since the period of BFC standards recertified with a significant increase of 95% of fulfilment of the requested criteria. The second recertification is underway.
