The authorities:

The Section of Civil Protection performs tasks relating to planning, preparation and execution of measures and activities for protection and rescue of population from disasters, coordination to establish, create and implement the Program for Disaster Risks Diminishing and other accidents, rescue and aid provision via civil protection organization as preventive and operational activities taken to save people, material and cultural goods and environment, taking measures and activities to ease and remove direct consequences caused by disasters and other accidents and creating necessary conditions for life of people in threatened areas, organizing, equipping and enabling protection and rescue forces of the local and republic bodies of management and other bodies, companies and other legal entities and entrepreneurs to protect and rescue, organizing and enabling citizens for all sorts of protection, managing and coordinating actors and protection and rescue forces in emergencies, provision, seeking help and cooperation with other countries and international organizations, creating evaluation of threat from disaster, creating program of civil protection development in the system of protection and rescue, creating plans of protection and rescue from disasters and other accidents, preparing decisions on organization and functioning the civil protection, informing the public about threats from disasters and other accidents and tasks of protection and rescue, submitting reports and information to the Mayor and Republic of Srpska Civil Protection Head Office, including other tasks from the field of protection and rescue.
